Description描述
THYOSIL CXP5045 is a multifunctional polymer specially designed to restore molecular weight and IV (intrinsic viscosity) in degraded polymers.
THYOSIL CXP5045 allows to upgrade low quality recycle and can be used during processing to increase the melt strength of polyesters or polyamide. THYOSIL CXP5045 also has high epoxy functionality, this allows for rapid reaction with condensation thermoplastics, resulting in higher molecular weight.

Hygroscopicity: there is no evidence of bulk absorption of moisture over extended periods of time for THYOSIL CXP5045. At normal conditions of temperature and relative humidity its surface reaches equilibrium saturation through adsorption at less than 0,25% of moisture. At extreme conditions its surface reaches equilibrium saturation at less than 0,50% of moisture. Where feeding solid THYOSIL CXP5045 in any solid form, except masterbatch, into the first zone of the extruder or infection molder, we recommend to operate this zone at20°Cto40 °Clower temperature than normal. Extruder pressure effects擠出機壓力效應
The use of THYOSIL CXP5045 inreactive extrusion or reactive injection molding operations increases significantly the molecular weight, this lead to an increase in melt viscosity, which in turn raises the pressure observed in the equipment.
The table below exemplifies the large increases in die pressure that are observed in PET as THYOSIL CXP5045 is added to a large extruder. Similar increases are expected in other plastics.

The pressure increases both at the die and in front screen system may be 25% to 100% higher than typical operating pressure for higher usage levels. Instantaneous pressure variations and spikes are due to large instantaneous changes in melt viscosity. At constant temperature, changes in melt viscosity are often due to variable feed rate and/or poor mixing.

Troubleshooting故障排除
Ø In case of unexpected high pressure:?如出現意想不到的高壓:

Decrease the feed rate of THYOSIL CXP5045.降低THYOSIL CXP5045的進料速度。

Decrease the RPM. This decrease pressure on single screw extruders and flood-fed twin-screw extruders, and will decrease hating on starve-fed twin-screw extruders.)

Slowly increase the temperature, starting from the die and then from the last to the zone.
